Add close session to an agent script

You may decide you’d like a button on an agent script to be able to quickly close the current session. This can be simply done.

The steps are,

1. Create a close session action
2. Add an answer to an agent script of “Close Session” and link the close session action to the script.

The close session action would look like this ….

Notice that the hosted control is set to “Session Tabs” and that the action is “CloseSession”. This action will close the current session.

Note: Something to consider might be the state of any records in the tabs you’ll be closing. If you aren’t using auto save then any unsaved changes will be lost.

I am making an assumption here that you understand the basics of agent scripts! If not I suggest you refer to one of my earlier posts on agent scripts.

In my example I have an agent script called “Fishing Lake Tasks” and an answer on those tasks called “Close Lake Session”. As I doubt you’ll be working on an application related to fish …. you might have something like “Account Related Tasks” and “Close Account Session”.

Having created and saved the agent script answer navigate to the actions option and add the close session action you created in step one.
