MVP Alumni from Microsoft Next Generation Experiences

I was a Microsoft MVP between 2013 and 2018 and then part of Microsoft Reconnect, which is for former MVPs. Reconnect seemed to die a quiet death a couple of years ago when all communications ceased and they became impossible to contact; it now seems that there is a new recognition of former MVPs from Microsoft Next Generation Experiences in the form on an MVP Alumni badge awarded to former MVPs via Credly.

All the information I’ve had of this was an email from Credly inviting me to accept the badge, so I’m not sure if there is more to come and if indeed if this is a replacement for the Reconnect program (I did a search and found a small smattering of posts online with a copy of an email from Microsoft seemingly confirming the end of the Reconnect program, but I’ve not personally received this email).
