Power Automate Issue – HTTP request failed with status code ‘TrustFailure’

Roma Gupta Profile Picture Roma Gupta 725

Power Automate is the new buddy for any task that needs automation & to avoid unnecessary paperwork. Power Automate, one of the members of the Power Platform family that are used anywhere whether you can want to send data from Power Apps to some other process or maybe to Power Virtual Agent. It’s that super cool.

I am writing a quick issue that one of the community member faced & could not resolve. Fortunately, we found the solution & I am documenting it so that if any one of us faces this he knows exactly what to do.

Issue – HTTP request failed with status code ‘TrustFailure’ & status message: ‘The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel’.

Description – This error was occurring while doing an HTTP request to an external API.

Resolution – SSL Certificate had expired of the vendor who was hosting this API. Irrespective of a third-party vendor, this error could come to our own hosted API in case of SSL certificate expiry.

You can check with the vendor/admin team who handles the health maintenance of servers. He will update this for you.

Hope this helps! #Community Rocks

Keep reading, keep enjoying, keep exploring!
