[How to fix] Inventory value report ends with an error "An error occur during report data sets execution"

Issue

We are observing the increasing of the submitted support request cases stating that the inventory value report is not working anymore After upgrading to APP 10.0.9. 

Error message

An error message is populating while running the inventory value report stating the following “An error occur during report data sets execution." or “For more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine, or enable remote errors".

Solution

This issue has been addressed in the quality update 10.0.383.2002 of APP 10.0.9 by the following fix KB 4551984Invent Value Report is not running - "An error occur during report data sets execution.". and it has been fixed in APP 10.0.10 also by the following fix KB 4551983Invent Value Report is not running

For the time being, I would suggest you as well to use the new inventory value report storage, it much faster than the legacy inventory value report with the capability of storing the executed data in inquiring view so you don’t have to re-run the repro every time you have to review the data once again.
