Change the Maximum Records in Dynamics GP SmartList

The default maximum records for any SmartList in Microsoft Dynamics GP is 1000.  This can be frustrating for the user to have to remember to change this each time they want to review a SmartList query.  You can change the default to be higher so they don’t have to change it, or worry about missing records.

1. Open up the SmartList Options window – Microsoft Dynamics GP | Tools | Setup | System | SmartList Options
2. Choose the Category
3. Change the Maximum Records to 9,999,999 (or whatever number you prefer!):

1. Now when the users open up a SmartList query, the default shows the number you entered above:

REMINDER: You have to select each Category that you want to change the Maximum Records for – one-by-one
