Dynamics GP Reporting Tools
Dynamics GP Reports
During this recorded webinar, we discuss reporting in Dynamics GP using Report Writer. Learn about option pages, date settings, using ‘My Reports’, and printing destinations. Report Writer is a tool you can use to create, modify, and customize reports.
SmartLists
SmartLists are available out of the box in Dynamics GP and are a powerful and flexible reporting tool.
Register for our webinar on February 15th as we talk through some little-known features of SmartLists such as saving a favourite for yourself or everyone, and how to use SmartLists for exception reporting.
SmartList Designer
SmartList Designer allows users to modify existing or create new SmartLists, link two SmartLists together, export data into Excel, and create new Excel Refreshable Reports.
Join us for our webinar on March 15th where we’ll explain how to add multiple SmartLists together, include additional permanent filters, and how to eliminate VLOOKUPs between Excel sheets.
Excel Refreshable Reports
Excel refreshable reports have the same functionalities and features as Excel, but the data links directly to the real-time data within Dynamics GP.
During our webinar on April 19th, we’ll discuss how to use Excel reports with Dynamics GP and how to use SmartLists to easily change the Excel Report.
SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
SSRS offers a full-range of tools that allows you to create, deploy and manage reports for your company; it offers comprehensive reporting functionality for multiple data sources. With SSRS, you can create interactive, tabular, graphical, or free-form reports from relational, multidimensional, or XML-based data sources. Reports can include rich data visualization including charts, maps, and sparklines.
Register for our webinar on May 17th to learn more about SSRS reports and how to get GP reports in an extractable form, as well as walk through some minor changes using Report Builder.
Word Templates
Word Templates are extensions of Report Writer reports with the added benefit of visualization to meet your company’s formats and standards. Word Templates give users the ability to create cleaner, more professional looking reports right out of Dynamics GP, maintaining the same functionalities and features of Word. Dynamics GP comes with a template generator that allows users to create Microsoft Word Templates for any Dynamics GP report or additional products.
Management Reporter
Management Reporter is a reporting application used to create, maintain, deploy, and view financial statements. It allows you to create a variety of financial statement reports and show the data the way you want it shown, pulling directly from Dynamics GP.
Please note that Management Reporter will only be available until 2026.
Third-Party Solution
Jet Reports for Dynamics GP offers a suite of reporting and business analytics solutions that are embedded inside the familiar Excel environment to create custom layout reports from any GP data, including third-party add-ins and external SQL sources. Jet Reports is an Excel add-in that can be used to replace Management Reporter.
Please see our Jet Reports Financial Reporting for Dynamics GP webinar recording to learn more about Jet Reports.
