Financial Reports (Management Reporter) distribution(Email) using Power Automate (Flow) in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations
Requirement to receive financial statements (P&L, BS, TB, Cash flow etc….) is very common from management stakeholders because they never login to system. In that case user from finance department generates reports and share through email manually.
Now, this can be automated using power automate (Flow). There can be multiple ways possible but I tried sharing reports using “One drive for business” and power automate flow.
Note: You can use this approach for sharing any other report from Dynamics, Financial report is one example I have taken.
So, let’s see how we can achieve this:
Step-1: Login to power automate portal using your credentials
https://flow.microsoft.com/en-us/
Step-2: Create New Automated Flow from blank
Enter type of flow and name

Step-3: Define flow steps
Define the path of one drive for business folder and add new step to define email trigger and save



Step-4: Generate Report and View


Step-5: Export report and save to One drive folder




Step-6: Review Flow run
Navigate to flow.microsoft.com > Select your flow > Click to see run history
Note: This is not mandatory step


Step-7: Receive Automated Email
Now, you will receive the automated email once flow is running successfully in step-6
