Setting up a free 30-day trial of the Polaris Release of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 – Part 2

In my previous blog I provided instructions on how to setup a 30-day free trial of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011. In this blog I will provide instructions on how to configure some of your Personal Options and System Settings for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 so that you get the best experience from your trial. 

1. Recommended: Complete the following Personal Options configuration steps.

2. Select File, Options.

  

3. From the General tab, set the Time Zone and Currency to the time zone and currency that correspond with your location.



 4. From the Formats tab, check and set the Current Format to the format that corresponds with your location.

5. Optional: From the Privacy tab, set the notification preference to Automatically send an error report to Microsoft without asking me for permission.

 

6. Click OK to close the Personal Options screen.
 

  

7. Recommended: Complete the following System Settings configuration steps.

8. From the Microsoft Dynamics CRM left-hand navigation pane, select Settings.

  

9. From the Settings navigation pane, select Administration.

 

 

10. From the Administration page select System Settings. 

 

11. From the Formats tab, check and set the Current Format to the format that corresponds with your Organisation’s location.

  

12. Recommended: From the E-mail tab, unselect the Use tracking token option.

  

 

13. Click OK to close the System Settings screen.
