CRM Quick Tip: How to Change the Bing Maps Control Address in Dynamics CRM
The Bing Maps control is a nice feature in Dynamics CRM 2013 to show the location of Accounts, Contacts, and Leads. The out the box settings are configured to use the Address 1 fields when plotting the map location. But with a little work you can change this setting to use the Address 2 fields.
Open of the form editor and locate the Bing Maps control – it will show up labeled as “Map View”. Once you’ve found it, double click or select “Change Properties” from the ribbon. From there it’s just a matter of picking which address you want to display.
At the moment we can only switch between Address 1 and Address 2 but hopefully in a future release we’ll be able to use the additional addresses that can be associated with a record or change which address is used on the fly with some JavaScript.
