Mobile WMS for Dynamics NAV

Automated Warehouse - Tasklet

One of the main priorities for a warehouse is to track and control the movement of goods in the quickest and most efficient manner. Software based Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) eliminate paper trails and minimise manual processes. Dynamics NAV easily integrates with many of these solutions, including Mobile WMS by Tasklet Factory.

Tasklet Factory is an industry leading solution provider with customers in more than thirty countries. Mobile WMS by Tasklet Factory connects with NAV out of the box with no extra development required. This platform runs on mobile computers made by manufacturers such as Intermec, Honeywell and Zebra to improve the daily operation of warehouse processes.

Tasklet Factory is an industry leading solution provider with customers in more than thirty countries.

Some of the features of Mobile WMS are:

Warehouse Movements

Picks, Put-aways and Goods Receipts are carried out through customisable step-by-step screens on handheld devices. They update the system in real time. While this is happening, item registration checks are automatically completed on barcode scans to minimise user errors.

Stocktake

Replacing paper-based stocktake spreadsheets, warehouse personnel are able to take a scan and count approach which, once completed, automatically generates an Item Journal in Dynamics NAV for review.

Barcode Labels

This functionality integrates with Fenwick Gold Label Integrator module (FG34) – a framework to integrate with BarTender (world leading software for label, barcode, RFID and card printing). Pre-defined label templates can be used to easily generate Item, Serial Shipping Container Code (SSCC) and Shelf labels, on demand.

The implementation of Tasklet has enabled many of our clients to have greater traceability over their inventory. Our clients have found that they are able to minimise user errors, often a problem with a paper-based system, and take advantage of batch/lot tracking processes with greater confidence.

Traditionally, Mobile WMS has run on mobile scanners that run on the Windows Mobile platform (which was the standard at the time). However, as of December 2016, the official Android application of Mobile WMS has been released – this provides an even greater range of devices from which to chose.
