Fiscal Year options can be changed!

Remember prior to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 – the CRM fiscal year setting can only be set once.  The fiscal year settings are use mainly for sales quotas prior to the introduction of Goals Management capabilities in CRM 2011.

It was a pretty rigid setting and you want to get it right the first time during setup – since trying to change it after the fact is highly impractical.  Granted, the fiscal year for most companies seldom change, but if it does – you can change it now.

In-addition, I always tell folks that besides impacting sales quotas – the fiscal year setting also impacts any “fiscal year” search date operation such as those found in Advanced Find.

Now that the fiscal year setting is not so rigid – one less thing to worry about getting absolutely correct during the initial Microsoft CRM setup.
