Repeating column headers in SSRS

I was working with a report today that was a bit big for one page so the tablix object suddenly went over two pages, which is fine, the problem was that the tablix did not repeat my column headers. I know there is a “Repeat header columns on each page” setting on the Tablix Properties, so I went there:

Looked for the “Repeat header columns on each page” setting, ticked the checkbox and deployed the report. This did not change anything.

So then I found that there is a button just on the right side of the Column Groups that gives you the option to go into “Advanced Mode”.

This gives you access to the “static” row group and then when you select it under the Row Groups, some new settings will be visible:

Set the “RepeatOnNewPage” to true and the “KeepWithGroup” to after. This will make your column headers repeat on every page!
