Dynamics CRM Price List Update

Community Member Profile Picture Community Member

Price lists are a feature within Dynamics CRM which works with quotes or sales order entities. A price list is selected to determine the price associated to the selected product. Each product within Microsoft Dynamics CRM can have multiple price lists offering considerable flexibility. This includes managing different units of measure. The drawback was you couldn’t globally assign these price lists without modifications to Dynamics CRM.

This has changed. Now you can connect the Price Lists and CRM users with a territory. This will allow a Sales Person who is assigned a territory to always have a Price List default when creating a new opportunity, quote or sales order.

  • To turn on this functionality, go to Settings -> Administration -> System Settings and verify you have Yes for the settings displayed below:

Price List 1

  • Next open a Price List and you’ll see Territory Relationships

Price List 2

  • Click the “+” to setup the relationship

Price List 3

  • Finally note that if you have more than one price list to one territory, the field is not automatically populated.
