I have been introduced today to a new error when post the sales order.
Even, when i use “Preview Posting”, this message didn’t appear, and the sales order appear normal.
But when you read the message you will notice that it is an issue on ITEM Approval Workflow.
That means, there is a an approval request have been sent for an item creation to be approved, and no action have been taken yet on this item.
Therefore, the user that is assigned as “The Approver” must approve the entry of item creation first to be able to proceed the order.
But that was not the issue, what if you are the administrator and you have the approval document that is signed by the approver himself, but he didn’t do it on Dynamics NAV.
During COVID19, this issue may arise due to missing procedures or something else i don’t know.
To solve this issue, you can go to “Restricted Records” in the workflow.
Type “Restricted Records” in the search.
If there is an issue related to a specific item creation request to be approved, you can delete it from here.
That means that the request for item creation has been removed, so you can now easily post the sales order without this error again.
