Amplify Your Enthusiasm | #GPUGAmplify
By Lisa Lucas, GPUG Program Manager
The first couple of months as the new GPUG Program Manager have been crazy. I have been meeting new people, learning new processes, and generally working to overcome the normal feelings of anxiety when it comes to starting a new position. While I am not new to the Dynamics space (I spent a number of years at Great Plains/Microsoft on the Existing Customer Marketing Team (working to move customers off of PSQL onto SQL among other things) as well as working on tax software implementations for Dynamics customers) it has still been an adjustment.
What amazed me from the start is the passion in which the GPUG members respond, both in terms of volunteering to share their knowledge by presenting (both virtually and live) and in their daily activities helping others on Collaborate. While this shouldn’t surprise me - I know from experience that Dynamics GP users are a devoted group of great people - I am still in awe.
This enthusiasm is why in just a few weeks I will be attending the first ever “Amplify” event. I am excited to be able to be a part of this inaugural conference with the GPUG and Microsoft family!
As a part of Microsoft in the early ‘00’s I attended a few Convergence events, always in anticipation of seeing old friends, meeting new, and learning more about the Dynamics products. It is with that memory that I look forward to starting the same at Amplify.
If you haven’t already had a chance to check out the sessions we’ll be offering in Anaheim, I encourage you to do so here. Microsoft will be delivering presentations on the brand new Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 release throughout the event. Distribution, Financials, HR/Payroll, Webclient and Management Reporter will all be highlighted in detail. Have you been keeping up with Pam Misialek’s Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 feature of the day blog series? Check it out here!
Have a support issue? Microsoft will be on site with a number of ways to help! Two Dynamics GP Support Desk sessions will be dedicated to covering the popular support issues customer are currently encountering. They will also have a support booth staffed to help.
I also encourage you to use Amplify as a platform in which to provide input regarding future functionalities of Microsoft Dynamics GP. You will have the opportunity to speak to the Microsoft employees influential in functionality decision making. We are also including sessions to help you learn about other Microsoft products such as CRM, Azure, and BI.
Amplify provides a fantastic venue for learning, feedback and networking. I look forward to meeting those of you able to attend! I will be taking notes and looking for content for a Dynamics GP 2016 Upgrade summer webinar series. Have content you want to see covered? Pull me aside at Amplify!
See you there - Lisa
