Fantasy Football and Other Games Available in Dynamics CRM 2016 by Fantasy Sales Team!
It is that time of year, the start of the Football season or March Madness and offices around the country are filling out their weekly fantasy teams or brackets. There is a lot of excitement in picking the right player or bracket. Microsoft is betting that introducing fantasy games into Dynamics CRM 2016 will help increase adoption and excitement of Dynamics CRM. Sales teams tend to have quotes/goals and are typically highly competitive environments, so why not bring both together in an environment where fans/players can have some fun and choose sales team members as fantasy players/positions.
Everyone in the office can get involved as they choose their favorite inside sales /or outside sales rep or customer sales rep as their QB, Wide Receiver, etc. The results can even be displayed on big screen TVs in the office. There are several game models and sports including American Football, Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, and Car Racing.
Game Setup Screen:
To be a player, you must have a Dynamics CRM Enterprise or Professional license, however Fans and Game Admins can have Basic or No CRM License in order to participate, this will allow others in the organization who are not using Dynamics CRM frequently to get involved.
How does it work?
CRM System Administrator must install a managed solution which can be found in the Office 365 portal. You must also fill out a small form to request a registration code which can take up to 24 hours to be delivered via email. Once you have the registration code, you register your company with Fantasy Sales Team. Once registered you will receive an email with a temporary password to log onto the FST site and get a chance to preview it.
Detailed information on how to access the managed solution can be found at:
http://www.fantasysalesteam.com/preview and https://community.dynamics.com/crm/f/117/t/184654
Once you have logged onto site you can access FST “Playbook”, which contains 12 instructional videos on how to set up everything in the Playbook, import users from CRM, assign roles, create games as well as connect to Dynamics CRM to bring in data/numbers for the games.
The videos are very detailed and there is also a support forum that can help get you started
