Step-by-Step Process On How to Set Work Hours for Users in Dynamics CRM
Configure scheduling Work Hours for Users in Dynamics CRM:
- Go to Navigate Settings → Security → Users.
- Select User record, then drop down and select Work Hours
- Monthly Calendar is displayed for that User.
4. Select Set Up to assign Work Hours for the User. Usually, Work Hours can be set either on Daily or Weekly basis and if the user is not available then for Time off basis
- New Weekly Schedule – In which you can schedule hours for entire week.
- Work Schedule for one day – In which you can schedule hours for per day basis.
- Time off – In which you can set the Time off (i.e.: Set unavailability with reason).
Options to Schedule Work Hours in Calendar Month
- New Weekly Schedule
If you want to schedule Work hours for the Users on Weekly basis then follow the below steps to set the Weekly Hours:
Step 1: Select New Weekly Schedule

Step 2: Select the type Work Hours (3 Options)
- Are the same each day
- Vary by day
- Resource is not working

Work Hours Option 1: Are the same each day
If you want to set similar Work hours timing for the entire week, then select “Are the same each day” and set the time. Check or uncheck the days as per your need to schedule Workhours for the User.

To add breaks, select “Add Break” to set the Break hours for the User

Total Work hours and Break Hours set for User will display in the Total Section

Select ok then on the Weekly Schedule window select Save and Close

Note: There is no End date for setting Work hours,
Work Hours Option 2: Vary by day
If you want to set different Work hours timing for the User, Select Vary by day

Set the work hours for each day. Uncheck the days if the worker is not working

Once you are done editing on all days, you will be able to see this different day wise time pattern then select Save and Close

Work Hours Option 3: None. Resource is not working
If you want to set the Resource unavailability for multiple days in the Work hours, then select None. Resource is not working

Select Starting On date to Save & Close. The will be Resource unavailability for All Day

- Work Schedule for One day
To Schedule Work hours for the Users on individual day basis, then you can set the work hours for One day
Step 1: Select Work Schedule for One day

Step 2: Select Date & Time for the Resource

- Time Off
Select Time Off, set certain start and end timings for the Users unavailability
Step 1: Select Time Off

Step 2: Select Start and End Duration of time off with the Reason. So you can specify all these details and click OK.

Step 3: Time off scheduled displayed in the Work Hours

How to delete these reoccurring schedule from the Work Hours?
Select Delete to remove
