Christoph Thaler - Community Spotlight
Back in 2002, after I left the technical university of Vienna, I joined an Austrian process and efficiency consulting company. As I was interested in IT and there was a lack of resources in one of our projects, I switched over to the ERP team. After one year of challenges and successfully finishing the ERP project, one of our customers started to implement a small industry-specific ERP system for 5 plants in various countries. Together with my great team I traveled around Europe to do the implementation for our customer (analysis, specification, testing, training, GoLive data migration, GoLive support). |

As soon as this project was closed, I got in contact with Dynamics AX 2009. It was completely new to me, so I started learning the basics and used the community as well as training videos to understand the system. Within a period of 7 years we built a customer-specific ERP system based on Dynamics AX 2009 and implemented it in more than 30 manufacturing plants all over the world. As project manager and consultant in the logistics area, I was able to gather a lot of experience because of different cultures, working pace, expectations and so on. However, it was always fun and educational.

My free time is mostly spent playing tennis, BBQ'ing and traveling around the world. Unfortunately traveling is limited now but the next trip is already in the planning phase ? |
"Whenever you want to know something about Dynamics 365 or AX, ask the community. You will get answers from experienced community members within minutes. Even if you do not have a specific question it is a good idea to keep an eye on what is going on in the community. You will learn something new every single day and get inspiration to solve current (or future) challenges."Christoph, Consultant and Solution Architect
