Quicktip: How to stop annoying pop-ups in Dynamics 365 CRM
With the release of Dynamics 365, came many new great features. We have the ability to do things now that we couldn't previously do. Unfortunately, along with all the newfangled abilities, came something not so wanted....pop ups. It seems that Internet Explorer is randomly redirecting to www.crmdynint.com. Every few seconds or so, a pop up or new tab to this site comes up and redirects us. As you can imagine, it can get very annoying to have these pop ups when you are just trying to get your work done
We just came across this issue today with a client that migrated to Dynamics 365 so we wanted to put this out there and tell you about the solution that we found.
Here is what we found
It turns out that there is a simple explanation and it has to do with the new Learning Path functionality. If your Organization is not using Learning Path, you should turn it off for your entire company - This can be done simply by going to Settings/Administration/System Settings. on the General Tab, modify the value for Enable Learning Path to No.
If you do not want to disable Learning Path for the entire organization you can instead disable Learning Path on a user by user basis. Go to personal options and select Opt Out of Learning Path.
So, there you have it- a simple solution to a very irritating problem! Let us know if this helped you and look for more Dynamics 365 Quick Tips on our blog here.
