Issue With Column Header Height and Width in Dynamics CRM 2013 SP1 UR3

Description

In Dynamics CRM 2013 SP1 with UR3, when using Internet Explorer, for any view, narrow columns where the text overflows the column width (including any filter or sorting symbol) will cause a line break and tiny scroll-bars over to the right (by the filtering control). The cosmetic bug can be seen in the animation below.

Consequences

Filtering on the last column becomes hard to do in IE if columns extend beyond screen width. Also, cosmetic issues are often the first to become annoying as it impacts all users.

Cause

The issue was introduced with stylesheet changes in SP1 UR3.

Workaround

Chrome and Firefox does not display this, only happens in Internet Explorer.

Permanent Solution

Not known and no hotfix available. The issue has been reported to Microsoft support.
