Ramit Paul Profile Picture Ramit Paul 22,797 Most Valuable Professional

Dear Microsoft BizApps Community,

Welcome to my next blog on Power Automate flow with Microsoft teams chat, this is my first blog into the Power Automate area.

In this blog we shall have a look -How we can create a Power Automate Bot to post a chat on our behalf once an email is arrived into our mailbox.

The Scenario we shall explore is as follows

If we receive a mail with having the subject line as “Urgent”, it will notify the sender in teams with Power Automate Bot

Scenario is designed in below

Let’s explore

Navigate to www.office.com ->> Login with your outlook ID or Work account ->> all apps->> Power Automate

Now we are in Power Automate page, we shall create a flow by clicking on “Create”

Now, we shall land into the Flow creation page

From here we shall have “Trigger” and “Action” point

Our Trigger is ~ when we get the Email in mailbox with Subject line “Urgent”

Now, we shall select the below

  1. “Office 365 Outlook” if you are using work or personal account
  2. Trigger will be “When a new email arrives (V3) 2”
  3. Connect your account which you would like to use as trigger, for my case I have connected with my company email ID

Once done, prepare the mail template, we can use many dynamic content, also we can customize, however I am using only standard dynamic content as follows

Once done, save the flow and after that we are ready to use the flow

 4810.PNG

Before we go live, we can also test the flow manually by selecting test and send a mail to self and see if Bot can send chat I your teams

The setup is done, congratulants

Now lets see if the flow is working
