Excel use in general journals using new template in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations

Open document templates, find and download the template for 'LedgerJournalLineEntryTemplate'

Downloaded template may come with a file suffix so ensure to rename the file back to the 'LedgerJournalLineEntryTemplate'

and then click new and specify the new template

On clicking ok, system would ask to override existing template, select yes and your newly designed template is ready to use in General journals
