CDS data integrator is the way to connect D365FO and CDS as well as other Apps.

We create connection sets within the data integrator using templates and author our integration.

At present we have to configure each and every entity manually between CDS and D365FO (Fin Ops), however in June/July 2019, MS is planning for auto configuring some core entities e.g. customer, vendors, products, etc. to be made available via LCS and also make it bi-directional.

At present the data integration project only allows for Fin Ops to CDS (one way).
