Customize record forms in Dynamics 365 CRM using the Due Open Activities Control

Being a salesperson working in an organization with a huge customer base, things turn out to be a bit more challenging in terms of managing the appointments, open tasks, and other upcoming, overdue activities against the customers. Sometimes, this is likely to end up leading to missed deadlines and disappointed customers, as managing the activities could overall be overwhelming.

Recently, a new “Due Open Activities Control” feature has been introduced that appears to be giving a good control over easing this out efficiently. It typically provides timely reminders for both open and overdue activities for the customers without any human intervention. Users do not necessarily have to track or keep any manual checks around any pending items. On top of this, the feature offers the ability to help navigate directly to the relevant activities, eventually resulting in making task management seamless. This is potentially a huge enhancement that helps you meet the deadlines and increase overall customer satisfaction by doing all the activities on time.

Let’s see how it works.

The Due Open Activities control displays activities that are due today or overdue. By default, it appears on the Enhanced Case form but can also be included in other forms.
