Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 R2: Print W2 with Boxes, lines and Labels

ReportIn Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 R2 you are now able to print the 1 Wide W2 form with boxes and labels directly from the Print W2 Forms window without using stock paper.
Navigate to (HR & Payroll >> Routines >> Payroll >> Print W-2s). This will bring you into the Print W-2 Forms window. A new Form Type is now available call ‘1 Wide – Forums with Box’.
When choosing the ‘1 Wide – Forums with Box’ Form Type, the W2 will print the in the current year’s format with boxes and labels.

As with previous versions of Microsoft Dynamics GP you can still print the other W2 formats from Microsoft Dynamics GP without lines onto stock paper which most people use so that they can tear on the dotted lines rather than just printing onto blank paper.
For these we have always supported Microsoft Business Checks, as this is the only form W2 form we test for GP. If other forms to not line up as expected and you are not able to adjust accordingly in Report Writer, we’d recommend you utilize Microsoft Business Checks: www.microsoftbusinesschecks.com
This feature was initially added for our Self Service Suite so that your employees can login and print their own W2s as many times as they wanted. Since it was already in the Self Service Suite we added it to the Year End as well for the user's convenience. I understand that you may not use this format, and that is fine, but you just have to use paper stock with the lines as we have always had within Microsoft Dynamics GP.
