How to reset the status for Expense report workflow in Dynamics 365 Fin & Ops
Sometime you might need to reset the status of expense report workflow after it goes to Approve or In review state. This would happen if you have made a mistake or if you want to delete the expense report.
Now you can easily do this in Dynamics 365 by going to the following path:
Expense management -> Periodic tasks -> Reset expense document status.
Just select the expense report which is in Approved, In review or Rejected state and click on the button “Update to draft” to bring the expense document to draft state. After performing this action, navigate to Expense management -> My expenses -> Expense reports and you should be able to see your expense report in Draft state. If the expense report belongs to any other user, then you are able to view the expense report from Expense management -> Process expense reports -> All expense reports.
Hope the above tip would help you to edit/delete the expense report once it is Approved or In review.
