Derived Dimension

Derived Dimensions are being used for to default the dimension values.

If you select one dimension, other related dimensions are being auto filled if you set derived dimensions.

For example; if you select the employee dimension, cost center and business units can be defaulted.

So users will not fill/need to know any dimensions accordingly.

You can add the segments.

Once the segments are selected, you start to define the rules.

You may prevent the change of the values during the entries.

This is a valuable setup to be used while helps users to fill data easily.

This applies in every where in the system.

In journals, in orders etc.
