Microsoft Dynamics NAV in the Drinks Industry – A Sysco Case Study

Na Cuana manage their end-to-end brewing operations with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Sysco’s Revenue Approved Bonded Warehousing Module.

Na Cuana utilise a wide range of features from Dynamics NAV which have been configured to meet the specific drink industry requirements. Microsoft Dynamics NAV is utilised in Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Production, Warehousing and with a specific warehouse capability to meet bonded warehouse supply chain requirements that is fully approved by the revenue.

The system can set up duty data per item and notify finance as a product incurring duty is transferred from the Bond Location to a non-bond location. Reporting of duty to Revenue is provided in Customs specific format while multiple Bill of Material configurations handle the creation of blends through to bottling.

Na Cuana work with many large retailers in Ireland, the UK and Globally. Microsoft Dynamics has been configured to intake orders via EDI and also to process invoices to EDI creating an airtight solution for order processing and tracability.

In the future, Na Cuana seek to build upon their solid foundations with Microsoft Dynamics by implementing a new Quality Assurance Module that will better streamline their batch testing of brews and ciders.
