Brand Profiles in Dynamics 365 Marketing
If you own several brands, you often want your email communication to be brand specific – also to the point where sender and social links (e.g., to the brand specific Twitter or YouTube account) are automatically added to the emails.
The July release of Dynamics 365 Marketing lets you create a profile for each brand.
First you must go to Settings (1) and toggle the Brand profiles switch (2)

Still in Settings, navigate to Brand profiles (1), and create you profiles. In this example I’ve created two, one for “Dynamics 365”, and one for “LinkedIn” (2)

For a brand profile you must specify a name and owner on the General tab (1)

On the Senders tab (1) you can specify one or more senders, and make one of those the Default sender (2). Note for my “LinkedIn” brand profile, the default sender is Nancy Warner.

On the Social links tab (1), you can specify the URLs of your social channels. These URLs subsequently can be bound to the social icons present in emails based on the Dynamics 365 Marketing email templates.

To test the brand profiles out we can go ahead and create an new email. Note that the sender of the email automatically is set to the one you specified in the global content settings (3), not necessarily identical to the sender related to the brand you’re about to communicate.

Now in the upper right corner of the screen, we can select a brand profile (1), e.g., the “LinkedIn” profile (2) created earlier.

The sender will update to the default sender of the brand profile, in this case Nancy Warner (if needed, one of the other senders in the profile can be selected)

And we can go ahead and add the social links from the brand profile to the social icons in the emails, ensuring that if the recipient clicks the icons, she will be taken to the desired social channel.

This new feature makes it even easier to craft emails with the right information in it. Enjoy!
