Max order quantity setup on the released item

I was at Tech Conference last week and had a question on how do you split the planned order to a size that you can handle through production. They reminded me about the max order quantity so I thought I do a quick overview of the effect of this on planning. This is something you will need to calculate based on your production approach and capacity. As well working with suppliers as they may have a max order quantity based on shipping or handling issues.
