Microsoft .Dynamics.GP.Rtc.dll Error Logging Into Microsoft Dynamics GP
When logging into Microsoft Dynamics GP, some Microsoft Dynamics GP users have experienced the following error:
"Microsoft .Dynamics.GP.Rtc.dll: Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {8885370D-B33E-44B7-875D-28E403CF9270} failed due to the following error: 800700c1."
This occurs if you have Microsoft Lync Attendant installed on the workstation. The current workaround to get around this error when you have Microsoft Lync Attendant installed on the workstation is to rename the Microsoft.Dynamics.GP.Rtc.dll. By default, this is located in the AddIns folder at the following location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics\GP2010\ or C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics\GP2010\.
By doing this though, you no longer have the Lync features available even though you have a Lync Product installed.
We are currently looking into a resolution for this issue.
Thank you!
Sarah

I actually had to remove the file Microsoft.Dynamics.GP.Rtc.dll from the AddIns folder at the following location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics\GP2010\ or C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics\GP2010\. When I renamed the file and launched GP, it showed the renamed file name with the same error. Thanks
