MES terminal setup – barcode scanner

If you are looking at using the manufacturing execution screens you might want to consider how the users are going to enter data. One option is to be able to scan a barcode to save them typing. This will mean some planning so that they have a document or scan sheet that they can scan to register the data.

There is a parameter on the terminal setup that you might want to investigate called barcode scanner. If you enable this then you will get an additional field that the user can scan into to pick activities for example.
