AXUG & GPUG Chapter Leaders Meet in Tampa

The Regional Chapter Leaders from the AXUG and GPUG communities put their heads together Tuesday afternoon here in Tampa to exchange experiences and ideas around engaging Dynamics users from around the globe with other users in their local areas.  There were wonderful, impactful discussions – facilitated by GPUG Chapter Coordinator Whitney Derks and AXUG Chapter Coordinator Mary Berens - amongst our awesome volunteer Regional Chapter leaders from around the globe. 

There were 28 Chapter leaders in attendance from locations including California, Oregon, Utah, Minnesota, Utah, Ohio, Wisconsin, Florida, Missouri, New York, Arizona, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Texas, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Ontario, and Brazil!

The AXUG and GPUG Regional Chapter programs are a vital part of the User Group community, empowering members to meet face-to-face at  locations around the world to connect and share with local Dynamics gurus on the topics that impact them most.  The program wouldn’t be possible without the volunteer efforts of our Chapter leaders, who coordinate and facilitate meetings, arrange valuable meeting presentations and content, and help drive Chapter awareness and participation.    

Chapter Leaders battled in a lively game of “Who Wants to be a UGillionaire?”, testing our fearless leaders’ knowledge of the User Groups and the benefits. Split into teams, our Chapter leaders duked it out over questions like:

• “What is our virtual community called?” ANSWER: AXUG Collaborate and GPUG Collaborate
• “What is the name of the online event the User Groups offer for members to gather by a common interest?” ANSWER: Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
• What is the % of first-time attendees at Summit 2013?” ANSWER: 60%
