Making Dataverse available for all makers
Working with Dataverse is now becoming easier with ‘Developer environment’ that comes with premium capabilities, without any additional cost. Developer environment is great place for you to build and run the apps with Dataverse in your own personal space, without restriction and then eventually share and deploy to production environments. Developer environment honors tenant’s default DLP policy and hence a secure place for makers to start the experience while honoring their organization policy.
Call Dataverse actions directly in Power Fx
We are excited to announce direct access to Dataverse actions in Power Fx formulas as an Experimental release.
- As a part of the Power Fx language, authors can now directly invoke a Dataverse action within a formula
- A new Power Fx ‘Environment’ language object that authors can add to their app enables access to Dataverse actions. It is available with Power Apps release version 3.23022.
- Without this feature, it has been common for authors to use Power Automate to call Dataverse. However, calling Dataverse directly from Power Fx provides significant performance benefits (and ease of use) and should be preferred for direct transactional reads and updates.
Your ultimate sentiment analysis solution!
In this video, you’ll learn in 1 minute how using Power Automate and Microsoft Teams can be integrated with AI Builder’s sentiment analysis prebuilt model to automatically detect the sentiment of incoming emails.
The ability to integrate AI Builder’s sentiment analysis prebuilt model with Microsoft Teams will enable you to prioritize which emails to respond to first and avoid getting bogged down by emails that may not require immediate attention.

Server-Side Synchronization Series Part 5: Automatic Incoming Email Promotion
This fifth part of the Server-Side Sync blog series will focus on user correlation methods not including in-reply-to.
Customers could experience an issue that causes emails to track into Dynamics 365. This is a direct result of a user making modifications to their personalization settings within Dynamics 365 that causes all emails within their respective inboxes to be created in Dynamics 365 and be visible to others within the organization.
This has a significant privacy risk and can violate laws in several countries depending on the email contents.
Learn more on that issue and how to prevent it in this part 5.
Capture Which Pages Site the Portal User Signed Up With
Sometimes you run into a scenario where you have multiple sites in a single environment, but you have a business requirement to record which site the end user signs up through.
Because authentication methods are reusable between the multiple sites, it can be tricky to know where they originated from.
See how to capture it from the link below-
Power Pages Collapsible Tabs
Occasionally as we are building Power Pages, we find that the Forms can become too long for our customers. In Dynamics, we currently have the ability to break the content up by tabs. Back in the day, CRM had collapsible tabs. While Pages doesn’t have this feature out of the box, there is a quick method with JavaScript that will allow you to automatically create collapsible tabs. You will want to ensure that all Tab labels on the form are visible else your results may vary.
Learn how to make it works, through example.
Introducing Microsoft Cloud Services Browser Favorites / Bookmarks
Microsoft offers several cloud-based services. As the set of services has grown, so has the set of URLs for the respective admin centers, admin portals, home pages, and makers portals.
This often ends with committing the frequently used service URLs to memory. If you happen to work across multiple clouds, the list can become large.

Creating a Dataverse Instance in the Desired Location
Creating environments in the Power Platform Admin Center is easy, you just need to provide a name, a type, decide if you want a database or not, chose if you want to pay-as-you-go and a region. This last choice is the one that is covered in this blog.
