Toast Notification Display Time
Many of you must have by now upgraded Dynamics CRM to the UCI version and probably have noticed many changes. I am today writing about a new addition visible apart from UI change to the Settings Family. In UCI, the options under settings have been updated and revamped. This newly added setting is called ‘Toast Notification Display Time’.
Let us see now what happens if you play with it.

So, it asks us first whether we want to Apply default notification display time. We will enable it now.

The second time you click on it, it will ask us whether we want to extend the toast notification display time (x10). We will do it now.

How to see changes in each phase now? So, you can either create a normal record & save it. Or, try creating a record from Quick create functionality so that you can see below notification.

By enabling toast notification & then extending it, increases the time the saved notification is displayed for end-users.
PS – If you are creating a record via a normal way (not via quick create form), please disable the Auto-save first for you to notice changes.
I experimented with timer now & testing this feature. Below are the results:
| Quick Create Record Creation | Notification Setting | Estimated Time Notification was visible (approx.) | Navigation to other entity or record & visibility of notification |
| Test Account 1 | Apply Default Notification Time | 10 seconds | Yes |
| Test Account 2 | Extend Display Time | 1 minute 30 seconds | Yes |
Note – This has nothing to do with the Classic UI version of Dynamics CRM.
Hope this helps!
