I have attended many partner and customer events and I can say with certainty that Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) is really important if you answer yes to any of the following questions:

Do you want to expand beyond your current geography?
Do you want to develop partnerships with ISVs?
Does understanding of the product roadmaps and newest technologies make sense in era of disruption being led by cloud computing?

Who would say no to any of these questions? Still, there are number of partners who visit every year without deriving any ROI for their time and money spent on attending WPC.
