SysOperation Framework recap for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations apps

SysOperation Framework, formally known as the Business Operations Framework, or BOF is helpful to extend Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations apps by adding new functionality that may require batch processing.  

The SysOperation Framework replaces the RunBaseBatch framework, or RunBase framework, and provides infrastructure for creating user interaction dialog boxes and integration with the batch server for batch processing.  

The SysOperation Framework supports the following kinds of development scenarios.  Developing a new module that provides implementation-specific inventory closing functionality.  Creating a user interface for entering report parameters for Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, or SSRS.  Extending Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations apps to support a complex addition to the sales tax calculation.  Features of the SysOperation Framework include queries, a pack and unpack of variables, routing tasks, batch processing, and finally prompting for user input.
