Procedure to resolve error while installation of NAV Web Client
Introduction: While installation of Dynamics NAV Web Client, the following error appeared:
In the error log report, the following errors were listed:
[0884:1B18][2018-03-21T14:35:28]e000: Error 0x80070005: Failed to write run key value. [0884:1B18][2018-03-21T14:35:28]e000: Error 0x80070005: Failed to update resume mode. [0884:1B18][2018-03-21T14:35:28]e000: Error 0x80070005: Failed to begin registration session. [2104:2CA8][2018-03-21T14:35:28]e000: Error 0x80070005: Failed to begin registration session in per-machine process. [2104:2CA8][2018-03-21T14:35:28]e000: Error 0x80070005: Failed to register bundle. [2104:2CA8][2018-03-21T14:35:29]i399: Apply complete, result: 0x80070005, restart: None, ba requested restart: No
Hence, the web client did not get installed and the setup components were rolled back.
Solution: The main reason due to which the web client did not get installed was due to the anti-virus and anti-malware softwares functioning in the background. All the anti-virus and anti-malware need to be disabled.
Navigate to the VirusScan Console and disable all running anti-virus and anti-malware softwares.
Once this is done, re-install the NAV web client. The web client now gets successfully installed. Hence, before installation of NAV web client, you need to ensure that all anti-virus and anti-malware softwares are disabled.
