AXUG Academy has a few open seats for this online, instructor-led training course.  Its an intermediate course for AX 2009 users who do not yet have Role Centers installed and configured, but are looking to learn how.  Participants can earn up to 4 CPE credits.

Course Description:
In this unique class, you will start out with a clean Dynamics AX environment and walk through, step by step, how to install and configure Role Centers. Take advantage of our unique environment to learn the do's and don'ts for implementing Role Centers so you can quickly leverage this for your organization. We'll cover:

  • Understand and learn how various Role Center prerequisite software packages must be installed.
  • Demonstration of installing all software and prerequisites.
  • Discuss how different environment configurations can change the installation process.
  • Demonstration of installing and deploying the out-of-the-box Dynamics AX cubes and reports.
  • Learn how to modify the default cubes, to make them function in your installation.
  • Tips, tricks, and speed bumps that can be encountered in a Role Center project.
  • Review fundamental Role Center components (SSRS reports, Cubes, Cues) and how they create a Role Center
  • Discuss how Role Centers can be customized, and the challenges associated with this.

Learning Objectives: Demonstrate how to install AX 2009 Role Centers, including prerequisite software (SQL, SharePoint), from scratch.
