If you are in the process of setting up a new Dynamics CRM organization, or perhaps enhancing your existing CRM organization, you will likely want to look at customizing the information displayed on views for Leads. Some of what you choose to display will depend on the custom fields that may have been added to your Lead form. But regardless of the customizations, there are view changes that are almost always should be made and can greatly enhance the user experience.
Here is an example of an out-of-the-box lead view:

Some of the changes you might want to consider include:
* Adding the Company field to the views you are using. Out of the box, Lead views are set up to be focused on the Name entered on the Lead. In some cases this can make sense, but for a lot of businesses focusing on the Company makes more sense. Consider possibly sorting by this field as well.
* Adding the City and State/Province fields to the views. This provides a little more information about the Company or the Name, and adds to the ability to sort or filter within the view.
* If the Name is not already set up to display the Last Name first, remove the Name field and replace with the Last Name and First Name fields. This makes sorting easier and also allows users to locate a person’s name easier.
* Consider adding contact information such as a phone number and email. If a user is working a lead list, they may want to call from the view and, if they reach the person/company, then open the lead form to edit information.
* Include Owner information – again, this can facilitate in-view sorting and filtering.
Here is an example of a view that has been modified with some of the items listed above. Notice how much more information is immediately available and the options users have to slice and dice this information all within a single view.

As mentioned earlier, there likely will be other specific or custom fields from the Lead that you will want to display on views. The time spent to consider user needs and displaying the most useful information can have a significant impact on user adoption and satisfaction.
