Install Adxstudio Portal with Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Adxstudio Portals supercharges Dynamics® CRM into an interactive, web-based sales, services, support and social engagement application platform. It gives you the power to quickly build secure, self service portals and even the entire Dynamics CRM backed website.  In this post we ‘ll learn how you can install and setup Adxstudio Portal with Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

First of all download the latest version of Adxstudio Portal using this link.
After downloading, install the setup and browse to the installation directory which will by default will be

C:\Program Files (x86)\Adxstudio\XrmPortals\<version>

Open the installed version folder and browse to Customizations folder, you will see the AdxstudioInstaller.zip file.

Import this zip file in Microsoft Dynamics CRM as a solution. After imorting you will see the Adxstudio installer button as shown in the screenshot.

Click on the top button, it will prompt you to accept the license agreement , accept the agreement and following window will be opened.

From the dropdown, choose the appropriate Gallery.  For example, if you want to install Customer Portal site, choose the Website Gallery and then click Install next to Adxstudio Portals Customer Portal.  You can choose as many different solutions.  Once you’ve selected the desired ones, click on Install in the bottom left-hand corner.  The Installer will then import all the necessary solution dependencies.

After successful import click on Finish and refresh the window,  you’ll now see all the necessary solutions have been imported.

Now we need to run the portal on our local computer.  Browse to following directory for the visual studio solution file

C:\Program Files (x86)\ADXSTUDIO\XrmPortals\<version>\Samples\

Open the Adxstudioportals.sln file and run the application in the browser. You will see the following window

Fill in the Organization Service URL, Username and Password. Providing the information entered is valid, the Website Name dropdown will populate with the Portals that have been installed in your CRM. Choose the desired one and click Apply.
