The new real-time marketing form editor allows you to easily and quickly create forms using the same concepts as with the email editor. You can add layout section types to the canvas, and drag and drop elements onto the layout.
One of the elements in the toolbox is Consent (1)
This is handy since Real-time marketing consent is contact-point based. Customer consent is stored per email address or phone number, as opposed to being stored per contact record. Customer consent is stored in the Consent center. Customer journeys won’t send messages to contact-points without consent, so we need to capture consent.
Capturing consent is easy with the new form editors Consent element (1)
With the new form editor we can add one or two Consent elements to our form, and upon form submission, one or two contact-point consent entries will automatically be created in the Dynamics 365 Marketing Real-time Consent center!
We have two types of consent purposes – Commercial communication (consent to receive mails)…
… and Tracking (consent to track link clicks)
Having added the desired field and elements to our form, we can go ahead and click Publish options (1) to display the Publish options dialog
In the Publish options dialog we can easily Create a standalone page (1) to host the form
On the standalone page we can fill out the form (1), and click Submit (2)
Having submitted the form, we can navigate to the Consent center (1) and verify that two new consent records has been created for us as expected.
So the new Public Preview for Forms in Real-time marketing make capturing consent for Leads or Contacts easier
