ReportIf you want to work on your Power Apps skills but are stuck as you do not have your own Dev environment where you can practice then below are the steps which will help you create a “Developer” environment using “Power Apps Community Plan” where you can practice.
This environment is only for building your skills or for building Business Apps for AppSource. Do not use this as your “Dev” environment – that should be your “Sandbox” environment
Setup a free trial Azure Account
Create a new Azure account by navigating to this link. Click “Start Free” button and enter any of your Microsoft Live Id (Hotmail, Outlook, etc.). Enter your billing details. The billing details are just to ensure that your a real person – as this is a free trial account you won’t incur any charges for 12 months (at the time of writing).
Create Azure Tenant
Once you created your Azure account or you login to your existing Azure account. We need to create an Azure Active Directory. Follow the steps mentioned under section called “Create a new tenant for your organization“
Create a username
After you created the Active Directory, navigate to the Active Directory properties. Go to “Users”, here you will find option to create new user and it will have email corresponding to your tenant. For example if you named your tenant as “mytenant” then your email address will me “myself@mytenant.com”.
Get Power Apps free developer plan
Using this new email address signup for free Power Apps Community Plan or sometimes also referred to as Developer Plan.
