Transfer Order Cancellation (New feature) in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations

In this blog, we will explore a new feature released by Microsoft in Version 10.0.13 (Update 37) where we can cancel the shipped transfer order.

This feature can be use full when there is something wrong in shipment of transfer order or by mistake user has posted the shipment.

Earlier to resolve this we had to post inventory adjustment or another transfer order after receiving completely.

So, let’s see how this works:

Pre-Requisites:

1. We need to be on update 37 or more

2. Enable transfer order cancellation feature from feature management workspace

Step-1: Create Transfer Order

Inventory Management > Transfer Order > New > Select from and To warehouse > Add line to transfer

Step-2: Ship Transfer Order

Select Ship Tab on transfer order > Ship

Step-3: Cancel Shipment

Select Transfer Order > Transfer Order Tab > Click on Transfer Order History > Select Posted shipment > Click Cancel

Step-4: View Inventory transactions

In inventory transactions we can see the impact of reversal.
