General Ledger > Setup > Sales tax > Sales tax codes
To access the table name for the Sales tax codes values, click on the values button from the menu bar, then right click in any field and then click on personalize

You can locate the table name in the “system name” box as highlighted below

Now open a new excel workbook and click on the Dynamics AX button from the menu bar. Then click on the Arrow of the “Add Data” and select “Add Tables”

In the filter field, type in “Taxtable” then click the arrow and move it to the “selected tables” then click on the “ok” button.

By default, you will only see the from date, minimum limit, recid, sales tax code, and to date, double click and add the other fields

Once done with adding all the fields you want to add – click on the “fields” button to exit the design mode

Click on the refresh button to pull out all the current values from AX into the excel sheet

To add a new value for the sales tax codes, we would need to access the RecId table from the AOT

On the Table browser: Taxtable, scroll to the right until you reach the “TaxCode” in case you are just adding 1 or few tax codes value – if you are updating all the values; use the CTRL+T to export this table into an excel sheet. In this scenario I am going to locate my tax code I have recently created “RATEST”. I will use CTRL+G to open my search field and I will type in my sales tax code

If you scroll all the way to end you can locate the “recid” number which we will need to use in order to update the values for the sales tax code

Now I can add the RecID on the table in AX and the other information

Now we can publish

To review and validate in AX
