MS Dynamics AX – Session Date Function

MS Dynamics AX end users are recording transactions on the system date which is today date, users have the option to change transaction date whether on the transaction line, or posting date, there is another option which is Session Date where end user can change the system date to be specific date, this option normally used during monthly closing to avoid entering transactions in the current month, where end users enter transactions related to previous month (open period).

Click file, tool, go to Session Date & Time, and change session date

If the client is closed, and the end user need to enter transactions in another date he/she have to change the session date
If the user wants to change/reset date he/she should change it the same way
