Common Email Errors in GP
Hi Everyone!
Email issues can be tough to troubleshoot because a lot of pieces come into play. Is it a GP setup issue? Is there an issue with a modified report/template? Is there an issue with exchange or office? So, I wanted to write up a blog on the main errors we see and what can cause them.
The following errors are addressed in this document.
Common Email Errors
*A To, Cc, or Bcc Address could not be found
When emailing remittances, the Exception Report says Document errors: 0, Documents sent: 0
*This document type cannot be sent in email for this customer
*You must activate email functionality for this document before it can be sent in email
The company XXXX does not allow the sending of PDF files
An Unknown Error Occurred
A program is trying to send an e-mail message on your behalf when trying to send a Template via E-mail
Unable to email from Navigation List
Common Customer Statement Email Errors
Unknown Error
An Unknown Error Occurred or Document type cannot be sent
Invalid Recipients
Insufficient Memory
Note: When printing or emailing templates in batches, it is suggested to email no more than 200-300 at a time (depending on how much data is on each template). You will experience performance issues if you exceed that amount.

I just resolved this issue. The problem for me was the internal users email addresses were being converted by outlook from first.last@email.com to 'first last' format. GP was not able to resolve the 'first last' format, but when switched back to first.last@email.com the email would process correctly. (GP2018 R2)
