CCD on Mondays – Email Templates
After the pre-requisites, we have now finally come to quickly learn how to create email templates. Refer to related links below for previous blogs on click dimensions.
An Email template is up to you how you want to communicate to your end-user. It could be either as simple as some text message or as fancy as HTML templates including images & URLs.
Navigate to Click Dimensions> Email Marekting> Email Templates >New
You should see something like below:

Name – the email template name for reference purpose
Subject – the subject of the email and could be changed before sending the email
Preheader – in the mailbox, this is placed below the subject. Helps in providing reference regarding your email
Tags – this is used to tag an email template so that it could be searched easily
Editor Type – the main component of the email template. There are five types of editor type
NEW Drag & Drop – This is a combination of existing drag & drop along with block editor
Block Editor – this is to make use of built-in layouts
Free Style – This is when you have existing email layout & you upload it directly
Custom HTML – this is purely HTML code which creates your email content & is suitable for people who know HTML code. You have a preview tab to cross-check the email content
Drag & Drop – This is old drag & drop, allows you to easily drag content and images
Now select appropriate type & move to HTML version. If you have existing template copy-paste it & save.
If you have dynamic variables in your email template, move to Text Version & replace the variables from the variable version in click dimensions format.
The email template is ready to be used in email send which we will cover in next blog.
