Setup Sales Tax Authorities using Excel Add-ins

General Ledger > Setup > Sales tax > Sales tax Authorities

To access the table name for the sales tax authorities, right click on the Authorities field and then click on personalize:

You can locate the table name in the “system name” box as highlighted belowSales Tax Authorities 2

Now open a new excel workbook and click on the Dynamics AX button from the menu bar. Then click on the Arrow of the “Add Data” and select “Add Tables”Sales Tax Authorities 3

In the filter field, type in “TaxAuthoritiesAddress” then click the arrow and move it to the selected tables then click on the “ok” button.Sales Tax Authorities 4

By default, you will see only one key field added to the sheet “authority”, add the report layout, rounding from, and round-off to the table. If you have the vendor account you may also add it to the table. Sales Tax Authorities 5

Once done with adding all the fields you want to add – click on the “fields” button to exit the design mode. Sales Tax Authorities 6

Click on the refresh button to pull out all the current values from AX into the excel sheet. Sales Tax Authorities 7

To add a new sales tax Authority simply fill in the information and then click on the publish button. Sales Tax Authorities 8

A status of the publish will indicate if publication was successful or failed. Sales Tax Authorities 9

To validate the correct publication, navigate back into AX and validate the publication. Sales Tax Authorities 10
