Dynamics NAV - first ERP in a cloud and last ERP on-premise

What I have suddenly learned from Directions NA, is that Dynamics NAV, which has actually been the first cloud ERP system, will be also the last on-premise ERP of Microsoft, as Dynamics AX and Dynamics CRM are now moving to Dynamics 365 Enterprise Edition, which is a cloud-based solution. "Project Madeira" will also be part of Dynamics 365 as Business Edition, however Dynamics NAV itself continues its in-house road :-).

This makes the future of Dynamics AX in Russia quite interesting, as many local companies still do not consider cloud ERP as feasible solutions for them, due to security reasons or outcomes of local personal data protection law. Well, let's see :-)

    Even though we tried to sell for cloud solutions and we end up with only one questions which we can not answer in fully i.e. "Is out data is secured on cloud ?"

    Even tying with big cloud partner i could not convince customer and finally on-premise

    Totally agree with you on the last point. Even in Sri Lanka cloud solutions don't fly much. How much sales staff try to promote cloud solutions, clients finally end-up in a in house solution.
